Hi I’m Roxi, the truth is I love making things! Unique and personal things.

An enthusiasm inherited from my Dad, who has such a talent and skill for woodworking; bespoke church doors, ornate signs, custom-built furniture or beautiful staircases. I remember his workshop, watching and helping him where I could. Making together presents/school projects of birdhouses, kitchen roll holders and light pulls to name a few. This was often on the lathe creating beautiful patterns and making each item special.

I continued my interest in school with a GCSE and A-level in Design & Technology with Business Studies. However at this stage in life studying became my focus. Being dyslexic I wanted to prove I wasn’t as ‘stupid’ as some had believed so I wanted to go to University. Studying Applied Social Studies at the University of Bath was a great experience, from here I worked various roles in the Police and Education. It was within this time I met my lovely husband Jon, we soon formed a wonderful family unit with 2 really amazing kids in addition.

Now the boys are much more settled and growing fast, I wanted to return to being creative and simply just making things again! With support of my family especially Jon, in August 2020 Etched & Wiles was founded. I started by making things for our own home and then requests from family and friends. As my confidence has grown so has Etched & Wiles
